Sergeant Cris Harnisch

Officer Cris Harnisch

This year will be my 20th year of service as a law enforcement officer. I began my career in 1989 as a police officer for the City of Milwaukee. I worked for MPD until 1993, when I accepted a position with the City of Oconomowoc Police Department. I have been employed there full time since 1993 serving as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergeant and in my present assignment as a Detective.

As a young child my family lived in Milwaukee but would spend most of our weekends and summers in and around the Kettle Moraine Forest (in fact I caught my first fish as a child on LuLu Lake). I have many fond memories of this area. The Eagle area really became our second home. I was very excited to see the advertisement for the part time Police Officer opening and in the spring of 2006. Soon afterward I had the great honor of becoming one of members of the Eagle Police Department.

Over the years I have worked in many different areas of law enforcement. I have worked in both urban and rural areas alike. I have certainly met many different people over these years. I will say that my time with the Village of Eagle and its residents has been among my most pleasant experiences while working in this profession.

It has truly been my pleasure to serve this community and I look forward to many more years of service to the Village of Eagle and its fine residents.
